2008 Show Background...

About The Show
The Chalfont St Giles Country Show has been running for over 100 years. It started out as a flower show and has developed over the years into a large event with several thousand people joining in. This year's show will be held in Stone Meadow on Saturday 6th September 2008 at 12 Noon (St Giles Day is September 1st). The event has 2 main aims: to give everyone a good day out, and distribute any surplus to local good causes.

The 2008 Theme
The theme this year is "Paradise." - Celebrating the 400th anniversary of the completion of 'Paradise Lost,' written by John Milton. It also reflects the ambiance of the Show itself, and opens up a variety of different interpretations.

CSGShow.org was created in 2005 to aid in the organisation and preparation of the Chalfont St Giles Show. Since it was first launched, it has evolved significantly and now acts as valuable resource for both forthcoming shows and historic ones. The aim of the website is to store and make public all information regarding the show. If you seek any particular information about the show, you should be able to find it on this website.
