A Dark Shade of Magic from Dee Riley

Dee Riley: Magician Dee Riley is an Alternative Magician. The word "Alternative" is used in relation to his UNIQUE MYSTICAL image and stage persona, which is said to be unlike any other magician out there.

Up and coming local personality, Dee has been a performing magic since the age of just 13 and has performed at home and internationally. He has won several awards for his children's shows and close-up magic.

A quote from the BUCKINGHAMSHIRE ADVERTISER suggested that Dee is a "FUTURE STAR TO BE". Dee hopes to dazzle you with his wit, charm and skill (not to mention his bottomless bag of maxfactor eyeliner products) as he performs close-up "table" magic in the hospitality and refreshment areas.

M.A.R.E.S. Horse Display

Based on a sixteen-acre farm in the beautiful Misbourne valley, just outside old Amersham, M.A.R.E.S. (Minorities Agricultural & Rural Equestrian Skills) is a registered charity whose main work has been with Social Services, providing agricultural, horticultural, and equestrian activities, mainly Western/Vaquero style riding, to those experiencing and recovering from mental illness. Learning to ride a horse and look after it often helps withdrawn clients toward recovery, while environmental work—keeping chickens, collecting and using rainwater to irrigate crops, cutting hay to feed horses (and keep costs down) and growing their own vegetables and selling them from a stall—offer new ways to relate to others.

M.A.R.E.S. also liaises with the Youth Offending Team to involve them in work on the farm as part of their reparative efforts toward the community (they are not mentally ill). M.A.R.E.S. core mission is to encourage individuals from black & minority ethnic communities to participate in rural activities in which they are presently under represented.

At the Chalfont St Giles Show on Saturday, September 3, M.A.R.E.S will be presenting a driving demonstration by beginners’ teacher Tanya Howard in the main arena at 11.40am, as well as additional activities with some of their clients in their own small arena throughout the day.
